Demonstrations

Here are some of the demonstrations that inventors plan to conduct in Woven City in order to deliver technologies and services that will bring the "future fabric of life" to the rest of the world.

Demonstrations by Toyota Motor Corporation

Toyota aims to transform itself from an automobile company into a mobility company. The goal is not only physical mobility, such as vehicles, but also to move people’s hearts and minds through the demonstration for mobility of people, goods, information, and energy.
We are looking for inventors who will work with us at Woven City to demonstrate their original ideas in creating technologies and services that will become the future fabric of life.

  • Energy

A new platform where various inventors can utilize automated driving services

  • People

  • Goods

What to aim

To increase the mobility of people and goods through automated driving and expand what individuals, industry and communities can do

Demonstration overview

Demonstrations where various inventors can test automated driving functionality to expand use cases

Examples: Automated bus service (bus operator), automated mobile vending service (retailer) using Toyota's e-Palette* equipped with an automated driving system

*Toyota's battery EVs dedicated to mobility services

Demonstration points

  • Training for automated driving services technology

To verify the effectiveness of Toyota‘s goal of implementing three mobility components (people, cars, and traffic environment) for traffic safety in the city

Using Digital Twin to reproduce various traffic environments (e.g., pedestrians crossing the street) to efficiently develop automated driving*Refer to the video

  • To verify the value of services using automated driving

Together with inventors, we will create services using automated driving technology that the world really needs

Smart Logistics

  • Goods

What to aim

  • Eliminating the obligatory movement associated with giving and receiving things, and create time and energy that individuals can use for happiness (individual happiness)
  • Prompting the development of society by that freeing the movement of things (social happiness)

Demonstration overview

  • By linking smartphone apps and delivery robots, we aim to provide services that support the movement of things within the city. And we’d like to clarify what is needed for residents to be able to give and receive things without stress, regardless of time or place through the demonstration experiments.
  • In addition to simply transporting things, we will integrate high value-added services (e.g. cleaning and storage services) to create a product that provides new value to customers.

Demonstration points

Perform Kaizen to service content based on residents' voices and data that obtained through demonstrations conducted in actual living environments.

Next-Generation Remote Communication Product

  • Information

What to aim

This product creates an experience that allows users to feel a sense of presence even when physically distant, facilitating deeply connected communication.

Demonstration overview

We are considering the use of Woven by Toyota's advanced video transmission technology first in the educational area. By conveying thought processes and other aspects not previously communicated through existing remote communication technologies, we aim to enhance the value of our product.

Demonstration points

  • Measure the value and impact of next-generation video transmission technologies in remote education over the medium to long term for target users.
  • Explore new applications beyond education based on feedback received from users.
